Stephanie Zisook, MD is a board certified psychopharmacologist and psychotherapist who specializes in treating adults with mood and anxiety disorders. She treats depression and all types of anxiety disorders including obsessive compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, somatic disorders, phobias, and body dysmorphic disorder. Additionally she treats women with issues related to menstruation, fertility, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and the postpartum period.
After obtaining her BA from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Zisook completed medical school at UT, Houston, a residency in psychiatry at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, and a UCLA fellowship in Women's Mental Health.
Dr. Zisook has a private practice in Westwood and teaches and supervises psychiatric residents at the UCLA Women's Mental Health Center. She coordinates care with therapists, obstetricians, internists, and pediatricians and strives to obtain a comprehensive understanding of each individual patient and his/ her unique circumstances, so she can devise a treatment plan that meets each patient’s needs.
